The North Coast Academy of Sport (NCAS) is proud to present to you the North Coast Coaches Conference for 2017. The Conference will be hosted over two days – Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December 2017 at the Office of Sport – Lake Ainsworth Centre.
The conference will target those coaches who wish to progress from their current ‘Club’ coach/pre-elite level to that of elite level coach. The Conference will also be suitable for all those coaches who wish to upskill their coaching knowledge generally.
NCAS recognises that the success of our athletes is only as good as the quality, skills and experience of our regionally based coaches.
We’ve developed this year’s program along these observations:
- The majority of our region’s coaches are level one accredited and they have difficulty in finding the time to advance their accreditation.
- Coaches of all levels enjoy coming together to listen to expert presenters and share their own experiences and ideas.
Features of this year’s program will therefore include:
- Providing our aspiring regional coaches with the necessary tools to advance their pathway toElite Coach status.
- Delivering specific, relevant coaching and mentoring modules to assist that process.
Thanks to the support of the NSW Government – Office of Sport, the Academy is able to secure quality presenters who will focus on how mentoring, coach interaction and networking might assist in their coaching pathway.
Sessions will be presented by professionals within their relevant field of expertise through a variety of suitable learning formats (lectures, discussion groups, demonstrations and practical sessions).
The Academy hopes that through this year’s conference all participants will advance their coaching skills and knowledge and this in turn will benefit the wider North coast sporting community.
