The North Coast Academy of Sport (NCAS) is thrilled to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of its athletes at the Yamba Triathlon, where they demonstrated exceptional talent, resilience, and determination. Despite undertaking an intense training camp just the day before the event, NCAS athletes excelled, securing multiple age group victories and the prestigious overall win.
The weekend began with a rigorous NCAS training camp in Yamba, designed to sharpen skills, build endurance, and foster team spirit. The camp’s demanding schedule included swim, bike, and run sessions tailored to challenge the athletes both physically and mentally. This preparation proved invaluable as the athletes took to the triathlon course the following day, ready to deliver their best performances.

Trent Alley – Overall winner.
Hayden Kelvin – 2nd overall and 1st place in Age Group Category
Matilda Medlin– 1st Female and 1st in Age Group
Isa Soenen– 2nd Female and 2nd in Age Group
Sofie Soenen– 3rd Female and 3rd place in Age Group
Connor Kinsella 8th overall and 1st in Age Group
Cory Wass – 13th overall.
NCAS Regional Manager D’arcy Van den Bossche commended the athletes, saying:
