The NCAS Skateboarding Program is endorsed and supported by Skate Australia. The program plays a vital role in identifying, monitoring, and developing the skills of young skateboarders across the North Coast region. Athletes selected into the program will have the opportunity to develop their technical skills, gain competition experience, and access expert coaching and education to assist them in progressing towards higher honours within the sport.
Up to 12 athletes aged 8–14 years will be selected into the 2024–25 squad. The program runs annually from October to April, with training sessions focused on individual skill progression in both street and park disciplines. Athletes will also participate in Academy Skate Camps and the Kobbas Skate Fest, providing opportunities to showcase their progression and test themselves in a competitive environment.
In addition to on-board training, athletes benefit from access to ACE Performance strength and conditioning support, fitness testing, and the NCAS Education Program. These education modules cover areas such as sport psychology, nutrition, media training, and athlete wellbeing, ensuring athletes grow both on and off the skateboard.
The NCAS Skateboarding Program provides a professional and supportive pathway for young riders, giving them the tools and experiences needed to take the next step in their sporting journey.
The North Coast Academy of Sport Skate Program plays a vital role in identifying, monitoring, and developing the skills of young skateboarding athletes.
