D’Arcy Van den Bossche
Executive Director
D’Arcy is an avid fan of sport in all its formats with a soft spot for grassroots community sport. Hailing from Victoria, D’Arcy decided on a warmer change to complete her Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Sport Management) at Southern Cross University, Lismore. D’Arcy has embarked on further learning from 2018 undertaking a Master of Business (Sport Management) at Deakin University. D’Arcy joined the Academy in 2015 as Sport Administration Manager and was appointed to the role of Sport Programs Manager in 2016. D’Arcy has most recently taken the role of Executive Director in 2021. A self-proclaimed master of none, D’Arcy will try her hand at most activities with surfing, yoga, golf and basketball current favourites.
Claire McCulloch
Sport Programs Manager
Claire joined NCAS in 2017 as an intern with the Sports Testing Team and continues on in this role today. On completion of her Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science in 2019 at Southern Cross University in Lismore, Claire was employed as an Assistant Sports Programs Manager and in 2021 became the Sports Programs Manager. Claire is a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach with ACSM and registered Exercise Professional with Fitness Australia. She also combines her love of sport and teaching as a Learn to Swim Instructor for all ages and abilities. In her spare time she can be found in a Gi at her local Jiu Jitsu club training hard and loving life.
Jamie Hetherington
Performance and Education Manager
Jamie brings a wealth of knowledge to the North Coast Academy of Sport, having previously been a lecturer at Southern Cross University in undergraduate health science and sports science subjects. Jamie has a keen interest in developing youth athletes and has previously served as a strength and conditioning coach for Ace Performance. Jamie will take on his role as head of performance helping to develop athletes across all NCAS Programs. In his free time Jamie enjoys playing Hockey and spending time with his kids.
Luke Field
Communications, Events and Administration Officer
Luke is a local guy growing up in the Coffs Harbour area. He spent his childhood as a fan of sport playing tennis, basketball, rugby league and Australian rules football. Luke was a former NCAS Athlete who spent three years in the tennis program while also competing at both the state and national level. Over the past seven years Luke has been coaching tennis in the regional area helping to develop the next generation of elite athletes. Luke completed a bachelor of sports media in 2022 and has since been a part of the NCAS team. When not at the office you may see Luke down at the local tennis or basketball courts.
