Program Overview
The NCAS Basketball Program is endorsed and supported by Basketball NSW . This program is designed to assist the individual development of each athlete and provide them with the opportunity to progress further in the sport. Up to 40 athletes that show the potential to progress onto state or national level basketball may be selected into the squad. The program will have an emphasis on providing greater skills development, strength and conditioning support and physical preparation to prepare the athletes for their upcoming season and provide a pathway to higher squads.
As well as intensive training days and/or camps, squad members will also receive an athlete education program, which includes modules in sports nutrition, sports physiology, sports psychology, core strength and conditioning, and sport & community drug awareness. In addition to training camps, some selected squad members may be invited to tour and represent NCAS at Your Local Club Academy Games.

•Far North Coast: Tweed to Yamba
•North Coast: Grafton to Laurieton
All participants must attend the trial within their respective region.

1st Round Trials – Far North Coast
When: 6th October 2024
Location: Lismore Basketball Stadium
Time: 10am – 2pm
Trial fee: $35 (invoiced upon close of applications)
1st Round Trials – North Coast
When: 13th October 2024
Location: Sportz Central
Time: 10am – 2pm
Trial fee: $35 (invoiced upon close of applications)
2nd Round Trails (Final Selections)
When: 20th October 2024
Location: Sportz Central
Time: 12pm – 4pm
